AGADEZ is an Italian singer-songwriter and composer.

Passionate of the Sacred Feminine, archeo-mythology and shamanism.

Taking a name that evokes Tuareg Symbolism, Agadez is Giada Colagrande, film director, actress and video artist. 

Continuing to merge spiritual research and art, Giada now weaves another thread in her work, which has seen collaborations with Marina Abramovic and Franco Battiato and the musical experience with The Magic Door project.

As AGADEZ, she begins a solo journey that’s rooted in World music, but transcends musical genres by creating syncretic and evocative atmospheres.

In this transcendent universality lies the spark that AGADEZ seeks to revive, like a flame that has never been extinguished, only weakened through millennia of “confinement” of the Sacred. An ancestral connection - through our bodies - with the cosmos and the invisible. A mystical experience of music that makes the original pulse of artistic creation vibrate within us, in harmony with Mother Nature.

«Art, in its primordial expression, was born as an instrument of union with the Divine. The urge that moved humans to express themselves in artistic form was a natural impulse to connect with another dimension. Think of the ceremonies in the caves, where the priestess used the drum to communicate with different realms, earthly and otherworldly - all “realms of the Goddess / Queendoms” - since the ancient communities shared one single cult: that of the Mother Goddess.»

AGADEZ’s chosen instruments are voice, frame drums, guitar, and theremin.
