Queendoms Unplugged
Agadez composed Queendoms with the intention to induce “trance”, starting from frame drums and voice.
Antonio Forcione, in composing as much as interpreting, plays guitar like a shaman uses his drum. Therefore his contribution enhances the "shamanic" qualities of Agadez’s music.
Queendoms Unplugged is the fruit of their encounter, a new version of the album rearranged by Forcione. Their live performances are conceived as rituals.

Queendoms
Queendoms is a musical journey through the archaic feminine cults that followed the primordial one of the Great Mother, from the moment names and identities were given to the many faces of the Goddess.
The cult of the Goddess has crossed all existing civilizations: a single essence that changes shape, to the rhythm of sacred drums.
Each song of the album is dedicated to a goddess. It evokes her distinct character and world. It invokes her powers and manifestation. Musically, the evocation weaves the shapes and colors of the civilization to which she belongs, while the invocation is conveyed through the lyrics.
Queendoms, the first album as AGADEZ, claims the precious contribution of the legendary frame drum master Glen Velez, world renowned Grammy Awarded percussionist, that of the extraordinary singer Loire Cotler and that of African music icon Angelique Kidjo.
