✦ The Star of Agadez is for the Tuareg people the ultimate sacred amulet. It is worn by women in the desert as a talisman for guidance. It offers connection and protection during the journey, helps one follow their own path and find the right direction — that of “returning home,” to the center of one’s own heart.
QUEENDOMS UNPLUGGED
Queendoms Unplugged is the fruit of the encounter between AGADEZ and Antonio Forcione, a new version of QUEENDOMS rearranged by Forcione.
AGADEZ composed QUEENDOMS with the intention to induce “trance”, starting from frame drums and voice.
Antonio Forcione, in composing as much as interpreting, plays guitar like a shaman uses his drum. Therefore his contribution enhances the "shamanic" qualities of AGADEZ’s music.
Their live performances are conceived as rituals.
